DualStream Documentation

Everything you need to know about DualStream — the all-in-one production and livestreaming platform for creators who want to reach every audience, everywhere.

DualStream is a production and livestreaming platform that lets you broadcast to desktop and mobile platforms simultaneously — landscape and portrait, all from one app.

Built with Rust and GPU-accelerated from the ground up, DualStream keeps your video in GPU memory from capture through encoding. The result: outstanding quality and performance with minimal resource overhead, so you can game, create, and stream without compromise.

Key Features

Dual Canvas

DualStream's headline feature. Run Desktop and Mobile canvases side by side with independent layer arrangements. Stream landscape to Twitch and portrait to TikTok — at the same time, from the same project.

Multistreaming

Broadcast to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and any RTMP/RTMPS destination simultaneously. Each output is independently controlled with its own canvas assignment.

Alerts

A complete built-in alert system with 11 event types (follows, subs, gift subs, cheers, raids, hype trains, and more), customizable alert layers, alert packs, and variants. No browser source hacks needed.

Multi-Platform Chat

View and interact with chat from Twitch, YouTube, and Kick in a single unified panel — or filter by platform.

Visual Effects & Effect Regions

GPU-accelerated per-layer effects (blur, shadow, glow, border, chroma key) plus canvas-level effect regions (blur, pixelate, grayscale, vignette, and more). All rendered in real time via Direct3D 11 shaders.

Audio

An ultra-low-latency audio engine with real-time monitoring, built-in filters (voice clarity, compressor, gain, stereo panner), VST3 plugin support, and Twitch VOD track exclusion — all without extra plugins.

Recording

Record full sessions, manual highlight clips, or grab the last 30–90 seconds with instant replay. Multi-stem recording writes the composite feed, mixed audio, and each audio source to separate tracks, so you can remix and strip copyrighted music in post. See Recording.

Scene Collection Importers

Bring your existing setup with you. DualStream ships importers for OBS Studio (.json scene collections), XSplit Broadcaster (.bpres presentations), and MELD Studio (.json sessions). Source types, transforms, chroma key settings, and audio tracks are translated automatically. See Scene Collections.
