DualStream aggregates chat from all your connected platforms into a single unified view — and lets you display it on stream with the built-in Chatter Box widget.

Chat Panel

The Chat Panel in DualStream shows messages from all connected platforms in real time:

• Unified View — Messages from Twitch, YouTube, and Kick appear in a single timeline
• Platform Indicators — Each message shows which platform it came from
• Platform Tabs — Filter to see only one platform's chat at a time

On-Stream Chat Display

To show chat on your stream, add the Chatter Box widget:

1. Click the Widgets button (magic wand icon) in the Toolbar.
2. Select Chatter Box.
3. Position and resize it on your canvas.

The Chatter Box supports extensive customization — see Widgets for details on text styling, animations, badge display, bot filtering, and more.

Chat Highlight

Spotlight a specific message from chat directly on your stream:

1. Hover over a message in the Chat Panel.
2. Click the highlight/spotlight action.
3. The message appears prominently on your stream canvas.

Great for Q&A sessions, reading donations, or calling out a funny message.

Popout Chat

Pop the chat panel out into its own window for multi-monitor setups. Keep chat visible on a second screen while DualStream runs on your primary display.

Multi-Platform Chat

When streaming to multiple platforms simultaneously, chat from all platforms flows into the same panel. Your audience on Twitch, YouTube, and Kick can all be part of the same conversation from your perspective.

Can I moderate chat from DualStream?

Chat display and moderation capabilities depend on your platform permissions. DualStream shows chat — moderation actions are handled through each platform's tools.

Does chat work when I'm not streaming?

Chat requires an active connection to the platform. Connect your accounts to see chat.

Can I filter out bots?

Yes. The Chatter Box widget has a bot filtering option in its settings. See Widgets.
